Ngwenya Glass Platters
These beautiful and unique hand blown and totally fair trade glass platters were made in the Ngwenya Glass factory in Swaziland. They are part of the Jan-Erik range, designed by the famous Swedish glass blower Jan-Erik Ritzman.
There are two different size of platter available, two division or three division.
The platters could be works of art in their own right and would grace any dinner table or function with their exquisite workmanship.
As each Ngwenya Glass Platter is individually mouth blown there will be some variation in colour, height and thickness.
The Ngwenya Glass Platters are 100% recycled glass, made from bottles collected by the people of Swaziland. Ngwenya Glass works with the local schools to instil in the children a sense of environmental awareness.
In 1989 Ngwenya Glass launched the Kingdom of Swaziland’s most successful wildlife conservation fund, known as the Ngwenya Rhino & Elephant Fund. A percentage of all Ngwenya Glass sales goes to the fund that runs a refuge for endangered species in the Swaziland lowveld, saving these rare and endangered animals from the brink of extinction.
