This delightful hand blown and totally fair trade glass potjie pot was made in the Ngwenya Glass factory in Swaziland.
These exquisitely made Ngwenya Glass versions of the traditional South African cooking pot would make a perfect jam or sugar bowl, especially with the plain Ngwenya Glass Spoon to accompany it.
As each Ngwenya Glass Potjie Pot is individually mouth blown there will be some variation in colour, height and thickness.
The Ngwenya Glass Potjie Pots are 100% recycled glass, made from bottles collected by the people of Swaziland. Ngwenya Glass works with the local schools to instil in the children a sense of environmental awareness.
In 1989 Ngwenya Glass launched the Kingdom of Swaziland’s most successful wildlife conservation fund, known as the Ngwenya Rhino & Elephant Fund. A percentage of all Ngwenya Glass sales goes to the fund that runs a refuge for endangered species in the Swaziland lowveld, saving these rare and endangered animals from the brink of extinction.
