Ngwenya Glass Crooked Wine Glass
These beautiful and unique hand blown and totally fair trade crooked wine glasses were made in the Ngwenya Glass factory in Swaziland. These amazing crooked wine glasses are available with two sizes, a white wine glass or a larger red wine glass.
Delightfully different, the wine glasses would be the talking point of any dinner party. So the legend goes, when the glass stem appears straight it is time to go home, hence these glasses are nicknamed the ‘time to go home’ glasses!
The glasses are packaged in uniquely branded wooden presentation boxes made from sustainably sourced wood, and inside they are protected by newspaper that they came wrapped in from the factory in Swaziland!
As each Ngwenya Glass Crooked Wine Glass is individually mouth blown there will be some variation in colour, height and thickness.
The Ngwenya Glass Crooked Wine Glasses are 100% recycled glass, made from bottles collected by the people of Swaziland. Ngwenya Glass works with the local schools to instil in the children a sense of environmental awareness.
In 1989 Ngwenya Glass launched the Kingdom of Swaziland’s most successful wildlife conservation fund, known as the Ngwenya Rhino & Elephant Fund. A percentage of all Ngwenya Glass sales goes to the fund that runs a refuge for endangered species in the Swaziland lowveld, saving these rare and endangered animals from the brink of extinction.
